Happy birthday Janet

On Tuesday, it will be the birthday of my fellow asst beaver leader - Janet. So thought I would expose her to a tag made specially for her.

For this I used a Tim holtz swirl mask and got inky with distress ink. A dandelion flower stamp was positioned in the middle, and used as the backdrop for the tag. Flowers were made and positioned.

This amused me and thought i would share it with you. This is the permanent addition to our bathroom. My invaluable scrubbie, this item being a must for inked fingers.

Hope everyone had great weekend didn't get too wet. I was working and spent my time dodging raindrops.

Happy birthday mum

This week was full of events, my fab friend Gab was 24! My mum had a birthday on the same day as one of my good friends and her husband celebrated their 4th anniversary. Congrats Steph and Nige.

My mums birthday tag was stamped with a dragonfly stamp and embossed with poly sparkle embossing powder. Then inked with spiced marmalade and forest moss distress ink. Which brings out the dragonfly. Flowers were made and added.

The leaf was from the Tom holtz tattered pine cone die and cut from a popular soft drinks can! My Mum can never understand why my tags don't stand up like cards do! I have therefore solved this problem by using Tim Holtz small easel die, and voila, tags now stand up like cards do mum!

My first ever

Having, for some time, been round people who "blog" I have finally got round to exploring this phenomenon.

This comes as a result of an ongoing conversation with a very good friend, my source of encouragement and all things computer. Yes Gab, (of crafty thoughts fame) I mean you!

I will try to remember to blog, showing my crafting efforts and after a recent trip to Ally Pally. I still have not had the chance to "play". So who knows what I will be coming up with. As the sky is the limit for the imagination although Not really sure if I have a style. I will leave it to you to decide. Hope you will like what you see.
