Will continue looking for the time thief, as really didnt think it had been that long. In good old british stylee, thought that I would create a weather themed piece. As the weather was warm for a (small) spell - honest. So in homage, and to use my new Tim Holtz movers and shapers die. This is what I did; </span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">I cut a piece of grey board, experimenting with a new technique called bumping. Introduced to me by my good friend Gab, (thanks again!).</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;">The grey board was bumped with a daisy mask using vintage photo (an ode fave) and wild honey distress inks. The fan was die cut from some grunge board and patterned paper, this was subtly positioned, to give a 3D impression. The grunge board was then covered with glossy accents. Also flowers were cut from Tim Holtz tattered flower garland and positioned.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS', sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />

She explained who does it why and where. The children were spellbound and very tired by the time that she had finished. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">So because we were grateful that she had given up her time I made her a tag-card to thank her.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">The tag was embossed</span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"> and inked with wild honey distress ink, a heart die cut from dictionary paper and inked with vintage photo distress ink, flowers were attached and a ticket stating "thanks". On the back I glued a stand cut using Tim Holtz small easel die. What a fantastic die, makes my tags stand on their own. This die was bought as a result of a conversation with my mum when I made her a tag-card recently. She is happy now she can stand them up!</span><br />

So I decided to make her a card. </span><div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">I embossed the card using Tim Holtz embossing folder, added a die cut circle (made from the divider from a chocolate box, what a womble I am, a trait I share with my fab friend Gab). Flowers were then made from a popular soft drinks can and scraps of paper, using Tim Holtz die.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hHMHNZxa6J8/T61oc2XKrBI/AAAAAAAAAFY/lSec3nChOUg/s1600/12+-+1" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hHMHNZxa6J8/T61oc2XKrBI/AAAAAAAAAFY/lSec3nChOUg/s320/12+-+1" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span><div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">A globe was die cut, from a dictionary page left over from craft day and distress inked with vintage photo. So, </span><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">this creation was mostly made from leftovers - do I qualify for a Blue Peter Badge (do they still do them?)</span></div>
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Looking at the last few posts, I seem to have a thing for flowers, mmm I will try to use a different theme next time. With a birthday coming up hopefully I will be given some crafty stuff to play with!</span></div>

<br class="Apple-interchange-newline" /><span style="font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Anyhow, The card had the desired effect, and made her smile. So for something that didnt take long, the effect was worth it, as the adverts say "priceless".</span><br />

For this they needed a cardtag!<br />
<br />
First of all I die cut tag from card and crunchy craft paper. The crunchy craft paper was then crinkled and vintage photo ink rubbed over it . A heart outline was die cut from grunge paper which was clear embossed and inked with worn lipstick. The birds were some that I had cut quite a while ago from a die owned by my good friend gab. These were then clear embossed and inked with faded jeans.<br />
<br />
As a surprise for the Underneath I die cut two hearts using movers and shapers, clear embossed them then inked them with worn lipstick. And stuck them down. <br />
<br />
All held together with some inked ribbon. <br />
<br />
Think we all slept well. <div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEShB3NGrZ3kGYZciQb_lQ3ZqjA-APQLpimniEkriSsA0Tv-INkUXltpuv_vN31LeerXNivILIB_d_LsgsJGF8vklAjku293AFtlwUexWbPs2XyZPEJ2yOUEF5K6VRd0dBusntq-_clV4/s640/blogger-image-1099219251.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEShB3NGrZ3kGYZciQb_lQ3ZqjA-APQLpimniEkriSsA0Tv-INkUXltpuv_vN31LeerXNivILIB_d_LsgsJGF8vklAjku293AFtlwUexWbPs2XyZPEJ2yOUEF5K6VRd0dBusntq-_clV4/s640/blogger-image-1099219251.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaww6HQXULW_SkQU9SrEkEfINcX6GFMkbsGsmuDxPdPNLz4vf8sPnG6JGu9OHmwD7zY9UiPE7fphoTsfyphfMxGZMEC_1D6FS91kqppMdKWrm9T-mTCPbyZPPXzX6QsDSm0Ht0R00E7nI/s640/blogger-image-1174127446.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaww6HQXULW_SkQU9SrEkEfINcX6GFMkbsGsmuDxPdPNLz4vf8sPnG6JGu9OHmwD7zY9UiPE7fphoTsfyphfMxGZMEC_1D6FS91kqppMdKWrm9T-mTCPbyZPPXzX6QsDSm0Ht0R00E7nI/s640/blogger-image-1174127446.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht963HmB_OIs7vNGTtxZisCpMIAr9GZamQ1Yq0BLSZnLa-9jUAwxIn5glw_vSXhzyauk9oH2NpHIa38Lwa6-WbUyMYtBUdPxXk4YXTNyk0OUKEqxW9ZCRwkXg9Cqy1wUO1D1_lJPbdYJo/s640/blogger-image--999807293.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht963HmB_OIs7vNGTtxZisCpMIAr9GZamQ1Yq0BLSZnLa-9jUAwxIn5glw_vSXhzyauk9oH2NpHIa38Lwa6-WbUyMYtBUdPxXk4YXTNyk0OUKEqxW9ZCRwkXg9Cqy1wUO1D1_lJPbdYJo/s640/blogger-image--999807293.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx_h5xNVDpzs5kRDpzGn-MpROnfGpSdoyr2JtAMK4GAiynADnVnJcHjnMuGcQxLDj43anraRSJ_mX4VFiyjjR6OZAXeFdEy-qTYeQXFBUMRTLvAvus3OjNWQmtOs5wg8rD6OLFWy290oQ/s640/blogger-image-1502141184.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjx_h5xNVDpzs5kRDpzGn-MpROnfGpSdoyr2JtAMK4GAiynADnVnJcHjnMuGcQxLDj43anraRSJ_mX4VFiyjjR6OZAXeFdEy-qTYeQXFBUMRTLvAvus3OjNWQmtOs5wg8rD6OLFWy290oQ/s640/blogger-image-1502141184.jpg" /></a></div>kittychaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156969635716075659noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3557837896627538947.post-15903635654083211812012-04-29T11:45:00.001-07:002012-04-30T12:34:11.022-07:00Happy birthday JanetOn Tuesday, it will be the birthday of my fellow asst beaver leader - Janet. So thought I would expose her to a tag made specially for her.<br />
<br />
For this I used a Tim holtz swirl mask and got inky with distress ink. A dandelion flower stamp was positioned in the middle, and used as the backdrop for the tag. Flowers were made and positioned. <br />
<br />
This amused me and thought i would share it with you. This is the permanent addition to our bathroom. My invaluable scrubbie, this item being a must for inked fingers. <br />
<br />
Hope everyone had great weekend didn't get too wet. I was working and spent my time dodging raindrops. <br />

My mum had a birthday on the same day as one of my good friends and her husband celebrated their 4th anniversary. Congrats Steph and Nige.<br />
<br />
My mums birthday tag was stamped with a dragonfly stamp and embossed with poly sparkle embossing powder. Then inked with spiced marmalade and forest moss distress ink. Which brings out the dragonfly. Flowers were made and added.<br />
<br />
The leaf was from the Tom holtz tattered pine cone die and cut from a popular soft drinks can! My Mum can never understand why my tags don't stand up like cards do! I have therefore solved this problem by using Tim Holtz small easel die, and voila, tags now stand up like cards do mum! <br />

<br />
This comes as a result of an ongoing conversation with a very good friend, my source of encouragement and all things computer. Yes Gab, (of crafty thoughts fame) I mean you!<br />
<br />
I will try to remember to blog, showing my crafting efforts and after a recent trip to Ally Pally. I still have not had the chance to "play". So who knows what I will be coming up with. As the sky is the limit for the imagination although Not really sure if I have a style. I will leave it to you to decide. Hope you will like what you see. kittychaterhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08156969635716075659noreply@blogger.com1Derby Derby52.920338 -1.423674
