in memory of the hot weather

Whilst looking for my daughters blog, I noticed that I had not blogged for 5 weeks! Will continue looking for the time thief, as really didnt think it had been that long. In good old british stylee, thought that I would create a weather themed piece.  As the weather was warm for  a (small) spell - honest.  So in homage, and to use my new Tim Holtz movers and shapers die.  This is what I did;

I cut a piece of grey board, experimenting with a new technique called bumping.  Introduced to me by my good friend Gab, (thanks again!).

The grey board was bumped with a daisy mask using vintage photo (an ode fave) and  wild honey distress inks. The fan was die cut from some grunge board and patterned paper, this was subtly positioned, to give a 3D impression.  The grunge board was then covered with glossy accents.  Also flowers were cut from Tim Holtz tattered flower garland and positioned.

Flowers were cut from Tim Holtz tattered flower garland held together with pieces from my very precious stock of brads (anyone who knows me will know that it is a standing joke that I buy these lovely things, but never want to use them!).  Flowers were then  positioned.

Wanting to do something different to hang the piece, I used a couple of paper clips and there we are.
